Expanding triangle. Expanding triangle means 5 or more reversals in a trading range with either 2 higher highs and 1 lower low or 1 lower high and 2 lower lows. ET is also discussed in encyclopedia Part 15. The important things about ET are:

  • that it is a breakout pattern (BOM)
  • it is an OO on HFT.
